Digital Builders Community
Membership Terms

1. Who runs the community
Digital Builders Community is operated by Chris Good, a sole trader, based at Court Farm, Cullompton, EX15 1BG. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that operator.
Contact us at chris@booshdigital.co.uk. Our public website is https://digitalbuilderscommunity.com and our member community is hosted on Circle at digital-builders-community.circle.so.
These terms explain your membership agreement with us. The membership description and checkout information shown when you join also form part of that agreement. We will provide confirmation in a form you can keep.
2. What the community provides
Digital Builders Community is an educational community exploring web design, development, Astro, SEO, microsites, AI-assisted app building and related projects. Members learn through teaching, discussion, shared experiments and feedback.
The community is at an early stage. We will identify material that is available now and material still being prepared. Our planned rhythm is a Monday tutorial, a mid-week challenge and Friday sharing. The roadmap describes intended development. Specific releases and dates become commitments where expressly confirmed in the offer you purchase.
We may adapt topics and delivery around member interests, availability and developments in the tools we use. We will honour the essential membership benefits described when you join and explain material changes under section 12.
Membership requires an internet connection and a device with a current browser supported by Circle. Some exercises may require development software, external accounts or paid third-party tools. We will identify additional requirements and charges when introducing the relevant exercise. You decide whether to purchase those services.
3. Learning, experiments and your projects
Chris participates as a working practitioner sharing experience, methods and experiments. Discussions are exploratory and may include unfinished work, personal opinions and approaches that change over time.
Community material is general education. It does not constitute a professional assessment of your particular business, client website, security arrangements, tax position or legal obligations. Membership does not create a consultancy, agency or managed-service relationship, or provide an accredited qualification.
Examples, code, prompts and suggested workflows are supplied for learning and evaluation. Check their suitability, licences, dependencies and behaviour before using them in a live project. Use test environments, keep backups and obtain permission before changing a client system or handling someone else’s information.
AI-generated material can be inaccurate. Search visibility, income, employment, security and business outcomes depend on factors outside the teaching and are not guaranteed. Software and platform behaviour can change after material is published.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. These educational limitations do not remove the responsibilities we owe you under consumer law.
4. Joining and your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account and billing information. Keep your login secure and use your membership for yourself. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your agreement begins when your order is accepted and confirmed. Access starts at the time stated at checkout. If access starts immediately, checkout will ask you to expressly request this during the initial cancellation period. Our refund promise in section 6 still applies.
Circle and payment providers have their own applicable platform terms. Our responsibilities for the membership we sell remain with us.
5. Price, renewal and Founding Membership
Founding Membership costs £14.99 GBP per month and renews automatically each month until cancelled. Your checkout and confirmation show the amount payable, billing interval and next payment information. We will show any legally required taxes and the total payable before you buy. Your bank may apply currency conversion or other fees if you pay from a non-GBP account.
Your founding subscription rate of £14.99 per month remains fixed while your membership continues under these terms. Founding Members receive access to all community spaces, tutorials, challenges, resources and future courses published inside Digital Builders Community as they become available, including community courses sold separately to other members.
This benefit continues while the community operates and your membership is active. Separate software licences, individual consultancy and work commissioned under another agreement are separate purchases unless expressly included in a specific offer.
Closing the founding offer to new members does not remove existing Founding Members’ agreed price or access. If you cancel and later rejoin, the offers available at that time apply.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and give you seven days from that notification to resolve it. A failure corrected within that period will not remove your founding rate. Access may be temporarily restricted while payment remains outstanding. If we end the subscription after that period, we will explain the effective date and consequences before doing so. This grace period does not reverse a cancellation you have requested.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can stop renewal through your Circle account’s billing or subscription controls, or by emailing chris@booshdigital.co.uk. Please send an email cancellation before your next renewal and identify the account concerned. We will confirm receipt and the effective cancellation date. We do not charge a cancellation fee or require a reason.
Ordinary cancellation stops future renewals. You keep membership access until the end of the period already paid for. You may ask us to close access earlier.
If you cancel within 14 days after first joining, we will refund your initial membership payment in full, even if you have already used the community. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel and receive this refund. We will end access and issue the refund without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your request, using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise without cost to you.
After that initial period, we do not normally refund part of an otherwise properly provided monthly period simply because you choose to stop using it. You retain any legal rights to a refund, repeat performance, price reduction or other remedy if the service or digital content is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied as agreed.
You can use this optional cancellation wording, or any other clear statement.
“To Chris Good, a sole trader, Court Farm, Cullompton, EX15 1BG, chris@booshdigital.co.uk. I give notice that I cancel my Digital Builders Community membership. Ordered on [DATE]. Member name [NAME]. Account email [EMAIL]. Address [ADDRESS]. Date [DATE].”
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are different actions. If you want both, tell us so we can arrange both and explain any records we must retain.
7. Community conduct
Treat people respectfully. Constructive disagreement and feedback are welcome. Harassment, discrimination, threats, spam, impersonation, fraud and unlawful activity are prohibited.
Share only material you are entitled to use. Remove client secrets, personal information, passwords, API keys and other confidential details before posting. Obtain appropriate permission for client examples.
Do not copy or distribute another member’s work, private discussions or recordings outside the community without permission. Ask before promoting a product or contacting members with sales messages. Do not scrape member information or upload another person’s posts or personal information into an external AI service without an appropriate lawful basis and permission where needed.
Members decide what they share. Community spaces should not be treated as a secure repository for confidential information. Report concerning content or behaviour to chris@booshdigital.co.uk.
8. Ownership and permitted use
We or the relevant creators retain ownership of our teaching, branding and resources. Your active membership gives you personal access to view and use the learning material. You may apply what you learn to your own work and client projects.
Code, templates and downloadable assets may carry their own licences. Those licences govern reuse and any rights that continue after membership ends. Where a resource has no express reuse licence, ask before redistributing it or incorporating the resource itself into a commercial product.
You may not resell membership access, share login details, republish paid lessons or reproduce substantial community material for another course or service without permission.
You keep ownership of your contributions. By posting, you give us permission to host, display and technically process them to operate and moderate the community and its backups. That permission is limited to those purposes. We will ask before using your identifiable contributions, likeness or testimonial in public marketing.
If we propose recording a session, we will explain the recording and audience in advance and provide a way to avoid appearing. Public use of an identifiable member’s participation requires separate permission.
9. Third-party tools and member contributions
Members and third parties speak for themselves unless we expressly adopt a statement as our own. We may moderate or correct contributions, but we cannot review every contribution before it appears.
External links, software and AI services have their own terms, pricing and privacy practices. Mentioning a tool does not guarantee its suitability or safety. We will disclose any commercial relationship relevant to our recommendations.
You are responsible for purchases and agreements you make directly with another member or provider. This does not excuse a breach of our own responsibilities in providing the membership.
10. Availability and our responsibility
We will take reasonable care in operating the community. Maintenance, technical faults and provider outages may interrupt access. We will take reasonable steps to resolve problems, keep members informed and provide an appropriate remedy if we fail to supply the service as agreed.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of this agreement or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee a particular commercial result from your use of educational material.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. We do not remove rights or remedies for services and digital content that consumer law says cannot be excluded, or any other liability that the law prevents us from limiting.
11. Moderation, suspension and removal
We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to investigate a credible security or conduct concern. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond or correct it.
Serious abuse, fraud or an urgent safety risk may require immediate suspension. You can ask us to review a decision by emailing chris@booshdigital.co.uk. Decisions will be proportionate and will not be used to penalise a legitimate complaint.
If we end your membership, future recurring payments will stop. We will refund unused prepaid access unless a specific, lawful and proportionate deduction is justified and explained. Your legal rights remain available.
12. Changes and closure
We may make reasonable changes to improve delivery, maintain security, reflect legal requirements or update tools. We will normally give at least 30 days’ notice of a material change that disadvantages members. Urgent legal or security changes may require shorter notice, with an explanation as soon as practicable.
If you do not accept a material adverse change, you may cancel before it takes effect and receive an appropriate refund for prepaid service we will not deliver. Changes will not retrospectively remove your founding price or promised founding course access.
If we close the community or permanently stop providing a substantial paid benefit, we will give reasonable notice where possible, stop future charges and refund unused prepaid access or provide another remedy required by law. Founding access does not require us to operate the community indefinitely.
13. Privacy, complaints and governing law
Our Privacy Notice explains how member information is used. Contact chris@booshdigital.co.uk with a complaint or privacy concern, giving enough detail for us to investigate. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and explain the next steps.
The laws of England and Wales govern this agreement. Consumers retain mandatory protections of the law that applies where they live, and any right to bring proceedings in their local courts. These terms do not require consumers to waive those rights.
